URGENT MESSAGE: Duluth soon to become Beckified

Alright alright alright I'll post.... I didn't post about MUDI because I think 19 players from VBB had already done so, and I'm almost positive that they all post better than I do. In short, 6-1, lost to Zero, hip haraah we did well, I love you all, you guys are super, everyone played great and did their part...... Ok now that I got that over with.

So, I drove up to Duluth on Tuesday to meet with my transfer advisor, who actually was very helpful. Every advisor I have ever had at St Thomas, was uninterested and really did not give a flying fuck about what my plans were, or what classes I was taking. This was a breath of fresh air, I had previously talked to her on the phone and she asked what I wanted to major in and what I was interested in, and I told her I had been thinking about law school. So, when I got there she already had a list of classes for me to check out that would go for my major and would also look good if I decided to apply to law school. Very nice, easy, relatively quick. Below is my fall schedule....

Fall 2007

American Government and Politics: MWF, 9:00-9:50 AM

  • I am fairly excited to take this class, its an entry level course so it shouldn't be too difficult and I'll probably learn some worth while things. Such as why George Bush is a moron etc. etc. The hardest part about this will be waking up at fucking 8:30 every MWF..... eek

Latin American Law through Film: TTH, 10:00-11:50 AM

  • This is a special topics course so it isn't offered all the time, I also look forward to his because it has to do with the two things I'm interested in; Law and well spanish stuff....things. Ya know. And then learning by watching movies, oh baby that's money, once again the hardest part will be waking up at 9:30 every TTH. But I'm sure I'll get plenty of naps in during the films.

Advanced Spanish: MTTHF, 1:00-1:50 PM

  • I don't know how this is going to go, it's obviously taught in all spanish and I'm not sure how rusty I will be but this is what I came here to accomplish so I should be some what good at it....right? Either way I'm sure I'll learn alot and hopefully get a ton better, but I'm nervous for the oral proficiency exam that I have to take at the end of the semester. Basically it consists of me sitting with a professor and speaking spanish for like 20 minutes. Aye dios mio. Maybe Lou can teach me some of his excellent vocabulary.

CPR/AED Professional Rescuer: TTH, 2:00-3:15 PM

  • Here it is ladies. Finally you have a reason to pull the old "help help I'm drowning, I may need CPR" routine when you're around me. You can tell everyone it's because you wanted to make sure I passed my final, but we'll all know the real reason. So, I needed one credit to become a full time student, and I need to be full time to play ultimate, so I enrolled in this swell course. It should be interesting, but yet again not too challenging. I look forward to making out with manicans(sp?) though.

The school year won't come soon enough for me right now, I'm really excited to get out of the cities and do something new. I haven't lived further than 35 minutes away from Eden Prairie in my life, and this will probably be good for me. I'll get to meet all you swell Duluthians and all the ultimate people. I am super pumped for the team this year and it sounds like alot of people are also excited, I'm expecting a good year for Northern Lights.

That's all I have for now, maybe I'll beat the rest of the VBB's and post about Cooler before anyone else....Nah Louis will beat me to it.
